Vision

The vision of Hearts-a-Blaze Ministries is to call forth a young adult generation to wholehearted loyalty and abandonment to Jesus and to equip them to sustain a life of intimacy with God that leads to impact in the world. HAB is convinced that the primary way that the Holy Spirit is doing this work is through the current night and day prayer movement across the earth. In the place of prayer and fasting, a believer connects with God's heart and is filled with His desires, burdens and power. It is in this place of experiencing His heart that we will be the "light of the world" (Matt. 5) by loving our neighbors and blessing our enemies.

Wes' Role at IHOP-KC

Associate Head Section Leader in the Global Prayer Room: I work with Brian Kim (Head Section Leader) to oversee all four six-hour 'sections' of prayer meetings at IHOP-KC in the Global Prayer Room (GPR). The Global Prayer Room has been going 24/7 in worship and prayer since Septermber 19, 1999. At the GPR we have sixteen worship teams leading two-hour sets of devotional and intercessory worship. There are other teams as well serving in the GPR: Section Leadership Teams, Media Teams, Fasting Teams, Prophecy Teams, Healing Teams, Dance Teams, and more. As the Associate Head Section Leader I give oversight to these teams with the goal in mind of having a prayer room of enjoyable worship and prayer for everyone who attends.  The Section Leader serves as the primary 'shepherd' over all of the missionaries within their respective section. I love this role! There's something about setting back and watching a room full of people enjoy God's presence knowing that He also is enjoying their devotion that pleases me as I know my Father in heaven is being glorified. Amen. (Psalm 132; Isaiah 56:7)

You can visit the Prayer Room live via the internet.

Director, Luke18 Project: The Luke18 Project is a ministry focusing on planting communities of prayer and fasting (Prayer Furnaces) on every college campus in America by 2012. There are 2,600 campuses in America. The ministry was started in January of 2008 by Brian Kim with close partnership of Lou Engle & TheCall and Mike Bickle & IHOP-KC. After a year of pioneering the work Brian transitioned me in as the Director effective February of 2009. Since then I have built a strong team of IHOP-KC missionaries who labor with me as we are continuing the work of planting and sustaining Luke18 Prayer Furnaces across the nation.  It is critical for our educational systems in America to be centers of God's glory.  These institutions are producing our future leaders.
